  1. DAP Private Disk is a password-protected computer disk for storing sensitive files.
  2.  
  3. When using for the first time you should select its size and location, and a password to protect it.
  4. Afterward you only need to type in the password to start using it.
  5.  
  6. If initialization was successful, the new disk, called PRIVATE, will appear in your Explorer / My Computer window.
  7. You can work with it as with your usual disk (c:) - create / copy / rename /delete files and folders.

  9. To stop working with your Private Disk and to close it till the next time, lock it with the right click menu.

  12. To start working with the DAP Private Disk for the first time:

  14. 1.    Open Explorer
  15. 2.    Go to Private Disk item under My Computer
  16. 3.    Double click
  17. 4.    Type in your settings, password and password hint
  18. 5.    Click OK
  19. 6.    Re-enter your password
  20. 7.    Disk is mounted with the chosen letter
  21. 8.    Work with disk (copy / create files and folders)
  22. 9.    Right click on disk to change its letter \size \ location
  23. 10.    Right click on disk to backup files
  24. 11.    Right click on disk to dismount (close) it.

  26. The next time you want to work with the disk, double click on the Private Disk item under My Computer.
